1 dead as Kia collides with truck in Wood County
WOOD COUNTY -- A northbound Kia crossed into the southbound lanes while rounding a curve on State Route 199 near Greensburg Pike and collided with a truck, killing the Kia driver, the Wood County Sheriff’s Office reports.
Chasity Amber Bingamon, 51, of Fostoria was pronounced dead at the scene Monday, the sheriff's office said. She was driving a 2023 Kia Rio that collided with a southbound 2023 International LT about 11:48 a.m., the sheriff's office reported.
The truck driver was treated on scene and released, the sheriff's office said.
Both vehicles received disabling damage, the sheriff's office said.
Assisting the sheriff's office at the scene were the Ohio Department of Transportation, Southeast 150 E.M.S., Wayne Fire Department, Wright's Towing and Frank's Towing.
