Community dinners return to Shelby's First Lutheran Church
The First Lutheran Church of Shelby is resuming its monthly community dinners with a ham dinner from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on April 22 in the church social hall in downtown Shelby at 33 Broadway St.
"All are welcome and invited to share in the food and fellowship of this free community event," the church said via news release.
The church had hosted a free monthly dinner for the Shelby community until COVID, the news release stated.
The monthly dinners will now be held every month on the fourth Tuesday and are open to all, beginning April 22.
The April 22 menu: ham, escalloped potatoes, green beans and apple pie. Free will donations are accepted, and carry-outs are also available. "There is no need to call ahead for that service," the announcement said.
The church social hall is handicapped accessible as well.
Contact Mrs. Gaye Shira at the church office, 419-347-7675, if anyone would like to volunteer to assist.
