Narrative per police report: A suspect arrived on-station to turn himself in on a warrant out of Shelby Municipal Court. The male was able to post bond and was subsequently released with a new court date.

Call type: Threatening suicide
Location: Shelby
Time: 8:52 p.m.
Narrative per police report: Officers were dispatched to an address in reference to a female who was suicidal and had a knife. Officers arrived and conducted an investigation in which the female was promptly transported to OhioHealth in Mansfield for treatment.

Time: 3:04 p.m.
Narrative per police report: Officers were dispatched for a warrant service. The person had two warrants: one with the Richland County Sheriff's Office and one with the Shelby Police Department. The person refused to answer the door but eventually came outside and was arrested for the warrants. The person was booked into the Shelby City Jail and will appear in court on April 7 in Shelby Municipal Court. Nothing further to report.

Narrative per police report: An officer was dispatched to the Shelby City Jail to check on an inmate who was complaining of abdominal pain. Shelby Fire and EMS were also sent to the jail. After assessing the inmate, Shelby Fire and EMS cleared the inmate and the inmate refused to be transported to the hospital. The inmate was scheduled for an appointment at a local clinic for further evaluation by the police department. The officer then transported the inmate to the clinic, where the staff advised that the inmate should undergo additional testing. Following this, the inmate was transported to a local hospital for further testing and was admitted. Ultimately, the inmate was released medically by the Shelby Municipal Court.

Location: SAVE-A-LOT, 23 E. WHITNEY
Time: 4:12 p.m.
Narrative per police report: Officers were dispatched to 23 E. Whitney (Save-A-Lot) for disorderly conduct complaint. The complainant reported a woman urinating in the parking lot. Officers found the suspect female who was intoxicated. Officers charged the person with disorderly conduct after she admitted to urinating in the parking lot. The female was provided a copy of her summons and advised of her court date, April 7, in Shelby Municipal Court. The female was released to a sober party.

Time: 3:12 p.m.
Narrative per police report: Officers were dispatched to a Shelby address for a family dispute. The complainant reported a male approached his residence and advised he wanted his father to be arrested. Officers arrived and determined that an 18-year-old special needs male became violent with his adult father. As a result, the father was defending himself by striking the 18-year-old in an effort to stop him, with success. All parties were interviewed, and no charges were filed as a result. Nothing further to report.

Narrative per police report: Officers were dispatched to their police department for a found property complaint. The complainant found a personal item at the Walmart in Ontario. The complainant brought the item here since he claims the owner resides in Shelby. Officers identified the owner but could not locate her at the residence. The item was then placed into evidence.

Call type: DOMESTIC VIOLENCE
Location: Shelby
Time: 2:12 p.m.
Narrative per police report: Officers were dispatched to a Shelby address for an unruly juvenile, later determined to be a domestic violence incident. The complainant and victim reported her 13-year-old son has been unruly and just assaulted her. Officers arrived on-scene and made contact with the victim and then the juvenile suspect. The suspect confirmed the assault occurred and was arrested for domestic violence. Contact was made with the Richland County Juvenile Detention Center and denied incarceration since he has another parent he can reside with at this time. The juvenile was served his summons for domestic violence and then released to his father.
