List: Shelby police calls (April 30-May 2)
Several new police reports were released in recent days. Here’s a look:
April 30
Call type: SEARCH WARRANT
Location: SHELBY POLICE DEPARTMENT, 31 MACK B
Time of call: 11:20 a.m.
Narrative per police report: A search warrant was presented to the Honorable Judge Studer of Shelby Municipal Court for the medical records of the person listed in the affidavit. The search warrant was signed and subsequently faxed to the medical institution listed in a search warrant. On May 1, the medical institution produced a CD of data as a result of the search warrant. A Shelby officer traveled to the medical institution and took possession of the CD. Upon turning it over into a Shelby sergeant's custody, it was secured as evidence. The search warrant was returned to Shelby Municipal Court.

Call type: SUSPICIOUS PERSON
Location: FAN CAVE 111, W. MAIN
Time of call: 1:37 a.m.
Narrative per police report: Officers responded to a report of a suspicious person at the Fan Cave. The victim advised that he had observed a male subject out in his parking lot and the male appeared to be looking into his vehicles. The victim confronted the male who then left the area. Officers were able to locate the person nearby. He was then advised that he is no longer permitted to be on the property, and if he returns, he will be arrested for criminal trespass.

Location: PIONEER CAREER AND TECH CENTER, 27 RYAN
Time of call: 2:25 p.m.
Narrative per police report: A Shelby police officer was detailed to the main office of Pioneer Career & Technology Center regarding a fight that occurred in the East Hallway in the area of student services on April 29 at 2:25 p.m. After an investigation, both were issued summons for assault and will appear in Richland County Juvenile Court.

Location: THE ADVANTAGE GROUP HOME, 147 W. MAIN
Time of call: 2:13 p.m.
Narrative per police report: An officer was dispatched to 147 W Main Street, The Advantage Group Home, for a reported theft.
May 2
Call type: DOMESTIC VIOLENCE
Location: BROADWAY
Time of call: 3:50 p.m.
Narrative per police report: Officers were dispatched to a residence on Broadway to check on the welfare of the victim's wife. During this welfare check, the wife, who is also the suspect, struck the victim in the upper chest in front of an officer. The suspect was arrested and charged with domestic violence and was subsequently transported to OhioHealth Mansfield for mental health evaluation.
May 2
Call type: TRAFFIC STOP
Location: 222 MANSFIELD
Time of call: 8:51 p.m.
Narrative per police report: Officers conducted a traffic stop and found the passenger to have a warrant for his arrest for Shelby City Income Tax. The passenger, a 37-year-old man, was placed under arrest and later released on bond with a new court date.

Time of call: 5:30 p.m.
Narrative per police report: Officers were dispatched to the police department for a theft complaint. Officers made contact with the victim and the witness who reported the theft via wire transfer. Officers took their statements and completed a general offense report.
