Seltzer pool 2025 season details shared by Shelby parks department
The Shelby Parks Department shared updated details Monday, on the upcoming 2025 Seltzer Park municipal swimming pool season via its official Facebook page, just ahead of the monthly meeting of Shelby’s Board of Park Commissioners.
The post provided key reminders on scheduling, pricing, swim lessons and community events as summer approaches.

Seltzer Pool will open May 24–26, weather and water temperature permitting, then close May 27–30 before officially opening for the season May 31.
As the 2025-26 school year gets underway, it will close again Aug. 18–22, reopen Aug. 23–24, close Aug. 25–29, reopen Aug. 30–31 and Sept. 1 (Labor Day), and finally close for the year on Sept. 2.
Presale passes, which include a $5 discount on individual and family-of-four passes, will be sold from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. May 18 and from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. May 23.
Regular pricing is as follows:
-- Individual, in town: $50
-- Individual, out of town: $75
-- Family, in town: $120
-- Family, out of town: $175
-- Additional family members (over four): $20 each
Swim lessons are available for $25 per student, with scheduled sessions as follows:
-- June 16–20: 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
-- July 14–18: (morning)
-- July 28–Aug. 1: (morning)
-- Tentative session: Aug. 11–15, 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Free Community Nights, sponsored by the Shelby Foundation, are scheduled for:
-- Sunday, June 22: 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
-- Sunday, July 27: 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
-- Sunday, Aug. 24: 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Rental pricing is based on group size:
-- Under 50 people: $125
-- 50 to 75 people: $150
-- More than 75 people: $175
