Player of Year honors for Brayden DeVito, Eve Schwemley
Members of the girls' and boys' Shelby Whippets basketball programs have earned prestigious honors, including District 6 Player of the Year and Coach of the Year awards.
Some details of the Shelby honors announced Tuesday:
-- Player of the Year Division IV District 6 (boys): Brayden DeVito
-- Player of the Year Division IV District 6 (girls): Eve Schwemley
-- Coach of the Year District 6 Division IV: coach Natalie Lantz of the Lady Whippets, whose team is 21-2 on the season.
-- Serena Ramsey (second team) and Charlie Niese (honorable mention)
-- Karsen Homan and Landon Foltz (honorable mention)
