Shelby previews school board session
Shelby City Schools are previewing the district's next regular board of education meeting planned for Monday, June 16.
The meeting begins at 6 p.m. in the David A. Jones Little Theater at the Board of Education Office, 109 W. Smiley Ave.
Key items for discussion at the meeting are the following, per a preview from the district:
-- End of year bullying report for 2024-2025 school year.
-- Approve minutes, financial reports, transfer of funds, accept donations. Approve insurance renewals.
-- Approve nutritional standards annual report and student wellness program assessment.
-- Approve field trips, review updates to board policies and regulations.
-- Approve change orders for roof replacement, approve agreements, quotes, orders and contracts, approve MOU (memorandum of understanding), approve application for early graduation.
-- Approve curriculum.
-- Approve administrative staff contract, voluntary transfer of staff member, accept resignations, approve certified and classified staff members.
-- Approve staff for additional hours, approve summer transportation worker, approve extra-duty contracts.
Shelby Board of Education members are president Scott Rose, vice president Kim Nadolsky and Brad Ream, Heather Braun and Randy Broderick.
