Vehicle strikes house in Crawford County
BUCYRUS — A vehicle struck a house Sunday evening on Lincoln Highway, leading to the driver's arrest, the Crawford County Sheriff's Office reported.
No one was hurt.
At approximately 4:59 p.m. on March 16, the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call about a crash at 2125 Lincoln Highway. Deputies arrived and located a 2021 Chevy near the house. The driver, age 71, of Bucyrus, did not report any injuries.
Deputies determined that the motorist had been driving eastbound on Lincoln Highway when he went off the south side of the roadway and struck the house. The driver was arrested at the scene and transported to the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office, a news releaser said. He was cited for OVI and later released, the release showed.
Emergency crews from the Bucyrus Township Volunteer Fire Department, Bucyrus City Fire Department, Dallas Township Volunteer Fire Department, and Holmes Township Volunteer Fire Department responded. Lohr’s Towing removed the vehicle.
The crash remains under investigation.
