Winning $1M Powerball ticket sold in Ohio
An Ohio Lottery player won $1 million in the Powerball drawing on Wednesday, the state lottery commission announced.
The winner, who had not been determined as of Thursday afternoon, purchased the ticket at Winners Corner, 2036 Baltimore-Reynoldsburg Road in Reynoldsburg, Thursday's announcement stated
The winning numbers were: 8-41-52-53-58, Powerball: 7 Power Play: 3
The winner used auto pick to select their numbers. They matched 5-of-5 of the white balls to win $1 million.
The odds of matching 5-of-5 of the white balls winning the $1-million prize are 1 in 11,688,054.
After federal and state tax totaling 28 percent, the winner will tax home approximately $720,000.
The Powerball jackpot for Saturday, January 18, is an estimated $331 million.
