Shelby baseball standout earns first-team All-Ohio honors
Quinton Albert, a Shelby High School baseball player, earned first-team All-Ohio honors on Monday.
The recognition comes from the Ohio High School Baseball Coaches Association.
Albert was also recently named a Mid-Ohio Athletic Conference co-Player of the Year for the Whippets. He just completed his junior season and plays first base for Shelby.

Shelby Historic Preservation Commission sets meeting
The Shelby Historic Preservation Commission will be having their regular monthly meeting on Thursday, June 12 at 8 a.m. in the Water Street conference room of the Shelby City Hall Building, organizers announced.
The meeting is open to the public.
Agenda items include additions to the locally designated historic site list, historic district signage, and other preservation topics.
Public comment may be submitted to be read at the meeting by emailing Joe Gies at joegies@shelbycity.oh.gov by noon on June 11.
