Heavy rainfall from a storm system April 4–6 caused flooding in parts of north-central Ohio, with Mansfield recording the highest month-to-date total among several regional sites, the National Weather Service reports.
Through 2 p.m. April 6, Mansfield had received 3.38 inches of rain. That amounts to approximately 79 percent of its normal total for the entire month of April, which is typically 4.27 inches. The totals reflect all rainfall since April 1, the weather service stated in a social media post with details.

TODAY’S deadline
The deadline to register to vote or change your address or name for the May 6 Primary/Special Election is today -- Monday, April 7.
The Richland County Board of Elections office will be open until 9 p.m. This office is located at 1495 W. Longview Ave. Suite 101 in the Longview Center in Mansfield. After 4 p.m., use the entrance at the lower-level back parking area at the southwest corner of the building.
