GRAND OPENING SET
Monday, May 5 is another big day for the city of Shelby’s economic development and revitalization efforts.
The new Mickey’s and Dunkin’ are set to make their official debut along Mansfield Avenue.

REVITALIZATION PROJECT ABOUT TO START IN DOWNTOWN
Later today, the long-awaited demolition is scheduled to start at the old auto parts building and its adjacent structures at the corner of Main and Broadway as part of a major redevelopment in downtown Shelby.

Shelby's Chamber Choir, Symphonic Band compete excel at state contest
Shelby High School's Chamber Choir earned a 1 at the State Contest and the school's Symphonic Band a 2 in the competitive Class A category, the school announced.
Shelby City Council starting May legislative agenda
Shelby City Council will review legislation involving alley vacations, equipment declarations, and codified ordinance updates on May 5, based on the council’s published meeting agenda.
Reports are scheduled from the Community and Economic Development Committee, led by Councilman Eric Cutlip, and the Public Works and General Operations Committee, led by Councilman Charles Roub. Additional reports are listed from Shelby Mayor Steve Schag, city Finance Director Brian Crum, Shelby Law Director Gordon Eyster, and city Project Coordinator Joe Gies.

INJURY CRASH ON U.S. 30 involving truck
ASHLAND COUNTY -- A 2019 Freightliner truck and trailer traveled off the north side of U.S. 30's eastbound travel lanes, struck the center median, rolled over, striking a culvert and roadway signs before stopping in the westbound lanes and center median, authorities said.
