Downtown Shelby coffee shop is for sale
A downtown Shelby coffee shop reports it is seeking to sell the business, a decision driven by a family member's career opportunity out of state, a post from Ivory Bean Coffee House detailed.
The announcement, shared via social media post on Wednesday, followed a listing showing the venue for sale.
Ivory Bean, 44 E. Main St., plans to continue operating until a buyer is found, Ivory Bean Coffee House noted in its post.
The owners expressed hope that a new proprietor will maintain the coffee shop for the community and offered to assist with training. The Facebook post thanked customers, Shelby City Schools, friends, and employees for five years of support.
In late May, another downtown Shelby business -- the Well Coffee Shop -- announced its own sale. You can read more about that here.

REGION
Project in New London valued at nearly $1M
Construction equipment has arrived at the intersection of Park and New London avenues for a sanitary sewer replacement and storm sewer installation project, village of New London Administrator Shawn Pickworth reports this week.

The project, costing $965,000, is funded through the Ohio Department of Development (ODOD).
The village of New London received $914,000 in grant funding and contributed a $51,000 match, Pickworth stated.
Detours for the construction will direct traffic to either High Street or Third Street so that motorists can get around the project.
โWe do plan on maintaining traffic for those who live on New London Avenue," Pickworth said.
